Saturday, 29 September, 9:30 to 12:00 noon, at Varsity Acres Presbyterian Church Snow, rain and near zero temperatures are expected this Saturday….and the long range forecast for Saturday 29 September is calling for sun and +16 celsius! So we are going to bump the exercise one week. For those who have signed up: we hope you can still come! For others, perhaps this makes possible your participation.
So, who is our neighbour? We will gather together with an opening devotional and some instructions. Then you will be sent out in pairs to different areas in our “neighbourhood” (whatever that might come to mean) where you will be asked simply to walk, observe and reflect on what you see. You will get some helps on what to look for. After about an hour or so, participants will return to the church to share their observations and reflections. It’s a simple exercise, but one that helps us slow down and really begin to think about our neighbours. Sign up in the narthex at the church or on-line.
